We are partnered with Shapla Foundation, a non-government, non-religious charitable organization whose primary goal is to support poor students in the developing world.
About Shapla Foundation
Shapla Foundation is an online platform where you can sponsor a child in Bangladesh for a small monthly donation. Their unique system allows you to view all spending associated with your donations for the child you sponsor.
Reason Behind Partnership
At HeavyTask, we believe in global talent. Our software development company has relied on talented international experts who have enabled us to serve customers around the clock. A significant portion of our remote employees is from Bangladesh. Thanks to them, we’ve seen much growth and success over the years. This was why we decided to partner with Shapla Foundation.
We aim to help the youth in Bangladesh by funding the education costs that are difficult to bear for certain families living in underdeveloped areas in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We owe much of our success to our Bengali employees and must give back to their country in some shape or form.
The Outcomes
So far, we are able to provide total funding for the following children’s education. We hope to help countless more children, such as Kabir and Rabeya.
Kabir Hossain
Kabir, a bright student, couldn’t attend school for months due to financial difficulties caused by his parents struggling to support their family and pay for his grandmother’s treatment. HeavyTask’s sponsorship allows Kabir to continue his education and work towards a brighter future.
Rabeya couldn’t go to school due to unpaid fees. The pandemic made it harder for her parents to support their three children, and paying for school was impossible. HeavyTask’s sponsorship is helping Rabeya achieve her dream of becoming a teacher.
Jui’s father is a rickshaw puller, and her mother works in a garment factory to make ends meet. Jui cares for her little sister and does household chores while studying hard to become a teacher. HeavyTask’s sponsorship is helping Jui achieve her dreams and ensuring her family can pay for all her siblings’ education.
When Moriam’s mother lost all her jobs during the pandemic, they had to rely on their father’s little income to maintain the family. A sponsorship from HeavyTask ensures Moriam’s education and work toward her future.
Lamia is a lively young girl who loves attending school with her friends. But since her family doesn’t have a fixed income, it’s difficult to maintain her education costs alongside family expenses. HeavyTask’s sponsorship is helping Lamia get all the help she needs with her studies.
Riya’s father is a street food vendor. His meager income isn’t enough to support his entire family. Her grandmother is sick, and thus a lot of their family income is spent on medical expenses. HeavyTask’s sponsorship ensures Riya’s education and eases the burden on her father.
