Based in Dallas, Discount Dumpsters DFW (DD) is an industry-leading dumpster rental company working with various B2B and B2C clients. The company serves clients all across the greater Dallas- Ft Worth area with an expanding service area.

The Challenges :

Communication is the cornerstone for any organization, and Discount Dumpsters is no exception. With a growing number of fleet and serving various clients around the Dallas – Ft. Worth area, DD needs a custom application that will enable their staff and drivers to upload customer data and other miscellaneous data required to run the organization efficiently.

The Search :

DD approached HeavyTask LLC, a Dallas based mobile application development agency, with the requirements. After the initial meeting, we were able to get the project’s full scope and the approach to fully digitize DD’s daily operational logs and automate some necessary steps to save the driver’s time and make the overall process more efficient.

The Solution :

Once DD hired HeavyTask, HeavyTask was able to find the full scope of the project and initialize the product design. In six weeks, the company developed and released an MVP.

For the technical stack, HeavyTask decided to go with Flutter, which will enable deployment across both iOS and Android. Below is the complete breakdown of the technical stack :

By using Flutter, we were able to save weeks of development time and save our client DD thousands in development cost. We were able to speed up the development time for the mobile application by developing both iOs and Android at the same time.

Conclusion :

Although the application was just launched, DD has seen significant improvements to their overall company. DD was able to get rid of all paper previously used by the staff to log daily operations and driver’s log, saving significant time and adding transparency across all business processes.
